Marnie’s Newborn Photography Session, Gloucestershire

A few months back I photographed Marnie at 21 days old.  She travelled with her Mum from Cheltenham to Gloucester to visit my studio, for her very first photo shoot.  At the time of her newborn photography session, Marnie should have technically been all cosy inside Mummy’s womb. Instead she surprised her parents  and introduced herself to the world 4 and a half weeks early, weighing 6lbs.

The Potato Sack pose

Marnie was adorable and so relaxed.  I was so looking forward to posing her in the ‘Potato Sack’ pose, which I have recently introduced into my work flow.  It is a pose I have grown to love .  As a photographer I have many photographers based in the UK and abroad that inspire me.  It may be be their style, posing or uniqueness that I love. Seeing this pose created correctly and safely by these amazing photographers is my reason I now offer this pose to my clients.

Most of my images within my galleries are colour, but every now and again a picture or two looks perfect in a simple black and white.

Marnie was the first to try out my new grey crate, the perfect size for a tiny baby to sleep peacefully in.

One thing that is consistent within my newborn sessions is they are not formulated.  I will always work with each baby individually, as some are chilled and some find it a little harder to relax. By treating them as the individuals they are and working with them, helps me get the best of each session.

No need for a electronic devices to entertain them, their minds can wander free and really explore their imaginative side.

I am sorry I have to say the word CHRISTMAS! But my diary is getting pretty full up to Christmas.  In fact I am fully booked in December. I have some availability in October, and November and now taking bookings for January 2018.
