Socially distanced outdoor family photo shoot
With lockdown being lifted it feels great to be back behind my camera, creating beautiful memories for families.
My studio remains closed until July. The GOOD NEWS is it does not affect my outdoor children’s and family shoots, which has always been a big part of my job. These fun and relaxed sessions can easily be carried out with social distancing in play. WHAT a special way to celebrate the lifting of lockdown by getting some special family photos in the fresh air.
Last week was my first week photographing for clients and it felt so good (see photo above).
Like all business I have been carrying out a risk assessment to ensure the health and safety of my clients. Social distancing is being incorporated in to my outdoor family photo shoots.
KEEPING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY SAFE HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY NUMBER ONE PRIORITY
There will be a few changes in the way I work, but the end result will remain the same, beautiful imagery of your family.
“Zoe did a newborn photo shoot with my son 5 years ago and we used her again for an outdoor family photo shoot a few weeks ago. The photos she takes are of high quality and she takes time to make sure she has got it right. Zoe put us at ease and was calm and friendly. She took on board what we wanted. We are delighted with our photos and would definitely use Zoe again.”Jo Workman
Even though we will be practicing social distancing I will have hand sanitizer for us to use. I will kindly ask for families to use this before and after the session and I will do the same. Of course, you can bring your own sanitizer.
My camera will be clean with antibacterial wipes before and after the sessions, along with any bags I bring. I would normally bring along a blanket for those lovely shots with you all sat down, but will now ask for you to provide one.
All chosen locations will be easily accessible, without any gates to open. I always use my high-performance telephoto zoom lens, which means I am always a good distance away from my clients, more the 2 meters in fact! Due to being outside and socially distancing a mask is not required.
It is a very strange feeling, but I will have to resist adjusting hair and clothes, and positioning of your family. I will ask parents to help with all the things I would have naturally have done. I will guide you through it all, from 2 meters away.
THE BEST TIMES FOR OUTDOOR FAMILY PHOTO SHOOTS
Lighting is such an important part of taking a photo and this is why my photo shoots take place later in the day. The sun is lower in the sky creating softer light and shadows.
SPRING PHOTO SHOOTS – from 4.30
SUMMER PHOTO SHOOTS – from 6.30
AUTUMN PHOTO SHOOTS – from 4.30
THERE ARE SOME RESTRICTIONS
At the moment due to government guidelines my children’s and family shoots can only include people from the same household or a SUPPORT BUBBLE. GOOD NEWS if a Grandparent is living on their own and your family is their support bubble, they can also be included in these shoots.
I have always loved inviting my clients to my studio for their viewing of their images, but in the current situation I will be using ZOOM to show my clients their gallery reveal.
All payments will be taken online.
