Newborn Photography

Newborn Photography Session. Wow! 2016 has been an amazing year full of gorgeous newborns in the studio.

Having a baby is an amazing, but at times, a daunting experience. Being chosen to be the person to document such a special time in a couples life is truly an honour.  Being a Mum of two,  I know trusting a person to hold and care for your child when they are just born can be an anxious time.  I have to say first time parents or not, my couples have been amazing.  I believed part of the reason for this is that parents are throughly briefed on how the sessions will go, how they need to prep for the newborn photography session and before they arrive they feel part of the experience.

The year started off with my first set of twins, Arthur and Luca.  It was such a special moment for me and I have been lucky enough to see these two again when their Mum picked up the gorgeous frame that will take centre stage in their lovely new home. Alway an amazing feeling seeing your work big and framed.

Looking back through the year it makes me smile having so many new lifes in my Gloucester studio.  Here are my favourite images from my Newborn Sessions 2016 (others have not been shared due to parents preference).

Sometimes sleeping isn’t on their agenda, no matter how much magic I do. That is fine as there is something very special about the connection between their eyes and the lens.

All my newborns are special, but this one was a little more special as Joshua is my Nephew (below)

So with 2016 coming to an end and looking back makes me feel so lucky. I am very much looking forward to what 2017 will bring.
