Mini family outdoor photo shoot

Introducing  mini family outdoor photo shoot –  Easter dates have been released

Life moves fast and since having children I feel life is moving at an even faster pace!

I know so many parents that would like to book a family photo shoot after seeing out of date photo’s around their home.  It is lovely to see how our children use to look, but it is important to have recent photographs too, so they can also be looked back on.

Children and Family Photographer

The trouble is our life commitments do not always give us time to have a photo shoot, and with a full session running for 1 to 2 hours it can be difficult to allocate time. A mini family outdoor photo shoot may be the perfect option.

So what is different between a full family outdoor photo shoot and a mini photo shoot?

A mini shoot is reduced to 30 minutes instead of 1 to 2 hours.  With a mini shoot the price is all-inclusive, so you pay one fee for the session and 5 digital images. Your chosen images will be emailed to you after your viewing session. However there is always an option to purchase more at your viewing session.  With a full photo shoot you pay for the session and then have a wider option on what to purchase.

When booking a mini photo shoot, I choose the location and we pretty much stay around that area that I have chosen. This ensures enough time is allocated to photographing your family and less time walking around.  With a full session, we agree a location and explore, so lots of options for different backdrops and time for more creativity.

What to wear

When booking a mini photo shoot there is no clothing change, however with a full photo shoot we have time for clothing changes if you wish too.  With all my sessions I will advise on what colours and clothes are best for the environment we are shooting in.

What number of people and ages are suitable for a mini photo shoot?

I have to focus on the time available when photographing a mini shoot, so there is a restriction of up to 4 people (immediate family (parents and children)).  It is difficult to say what age these sessions would suit, it is more about your child and their character at that time.  A full photo shoot would probably be best if you have a very shy young child, this type of session gives me more time to get to know your child and for them to settle into the environment.

Number of images to view

With a full shoot you will have 20-30 edited images to choose from and a more varied and creative gallery.  With a mini photo shoot you will have 10 edited images to choose from.

Are mini photo shoots available all the time?

No, mini photo shoots are not available all the time and are seasonal.  These sessions are released in February for spring sessions and July for autumn sessions. I only releases a small number of mini photo shoots, so it is always best to book up as soon as you can.

If you are wanting to update your family photo’s but time is an issue, then a mini family outdoor photo shoot is perfect for you. It maybe that for once you aren’t taking the photo and you can be part of the memory with your children.
